Priceline (beauty) Haul

Hello there my friends, it's Sally here!

A few weeks ago in Priceline (a pharmacy) there was a big sale and all make up was 40% off! Yay! So I made a trip there and bought a few things tested them out and thought I'd share them with you and what my opinions are on the products.

1. Real Techniques Powder Brush

Wow this brush is good. I had a really dodge cheap one before this because I didn't think having a good brush would make a difference. Eventually that brush began to fall apart and I kept having to pick the little hairs off my face.I though enough was enough and got a new brush. Definitely do not regret this purchase and I look forward to getting more brushes from Real Techniques.

2. Essie Nail Varnish

I've really been liking Essie Nail polish more lately. I like how thin the consistency is so it dries faster and lasts longer. These two colours looked really pretty so I got them haha! Typical girly answer. They are in the shades Marshmellow and Limo-scene.

3. Bourjois 1 Seconde Gel Enamel

This stuff is good. It's also quite cheap which made me question how good it would be. I bought this because I had a school formal and my dress was blue so I wanted matching nails. The brush is quite wide so I could paint my nails very quickly. Apparently that's why it's called 1 second, because of the time it takes to paint each nail. This is in the shade, Bleu Water.

4. Rimmel Apocalips

This is in the shade Stellar. I really like this stuff. The pigmentation is so good and it's not sticky like a lip gloss which makes me happy. It appears quite glossy when you apply it but eventually tones down when it dries, not to a matte but not as shiny. The smell and taste is pleasant and hardly noticeable too. I would highly recommend this product, one of Rimmels best lip products!

5. Maybelline Illegal Length

I got this in the waterproof formula. The wand is much smaller than the cover girl wands which I really like. I'm not too sure of this mascara yet though, sure it adds a tiny bit of length but it lacks volume and the product seems to dry so I keep having to dip my brush in for more. Not too impressed but it's good for more natural looking lashes.

6. Rimmel Match Perfection

Okay, I think I'm definitely a Rimmel girl. This foundation is perfection. I have combination skin and this stuff is so good! It's got I'd say a medium coverage which can be build able. It doesn't smell too scented. I was a little worried about how runny it was but it works and makes my skin look good so I'm happy!

7. Maybelline Color Tattoo

Wow it was weird to write color because I spell it as colour. Theses to shades are called, Bad to the Bronze and Inked in Pink. These are very similar to the Mac Paint Pots in fact these actually work better for me personally because the Mac Paint Pots creased on me a bit. I know some people are the opposite so I guess you just have to experiment but I'm excited to get these in more shades!

8. Rimmel Kate Moss 107

These Kate Moss lipsticks are up there! These shade is my favourite out of all the ones I own! I think it's perfect for winter or autumn! The Kate Moss lipsticks last a long time and have really good pigmentation! I also like the packaging. I hope Rimmel keeps releasing more of these!

9. Lanterns!

These are actually from Typo. I've wanted some for ages but didn't know where to put them but I finally had an idea. They make my room feel so cosy and I really want more. They were easy to put together and I just love them so much! How cute do they look?

So that's all for now. I hope you're all well! It's officially summer here now so it's getting rather warm! Until next time, love! xxx

Fall Fashion and Makeup Essentials!

Hi all,

Since the Fall season is coming up fast, I've been going crazy with Fall fashion and makeup essentials, just to live this Fall to the max #youtuberprobs

Alas, here are my Fall essentials:

Fashion:

1. Chunky Sweaters
Chunky Sweaters are a definite must-have for fall; it's great to cozy up in by the couch, or really practical for those breezy-but-not-really days. What's the downside to looking fashionable yet huggable?!

2. Olive, olive, olive!
Olive is a super trendy colour this Fall, and you don't have to dress head to toe in green to be trendy. Just incorporate some olive-shaded accents into your outfit to stay super on-trend this Fall!

3. Fall boots
Um okay can I just express my love for leather boots in Fall... They look super cute with just jeans and a t shirt, or you can layer higher socks with it so your socks peek out from under your boots. Leather boots are such a classic for Fall, whether it's heeled, flat, tall or ankled, LOVE.

Makeup:

1. Rose Coloured Blush
Rose coloured blush looks great with the earthy tones of Fall, and with the darker months coming up, a rosy pink blush can really brighten up your face.

2. Glowy Skin
Glowy skin is again, super in this Fall season, but lezzbehonest when would you rather have dull looking skin......?
Luminizing products such as highlighters and products with reflective properties can brighten up your skin tone in these duller months, despite the drier skin and darker outfits!

3. Flirty Lashes
I absolutely adore bold, flirty lashes. It opens up the eyes and makes everything so much more fun! The only issue that I have is, when I find a really great mascara (ahem, Covergirl Lashblast, ahem), I'm there sitting in class, and my eyelid tickles because when I look up to take notes, my lashes brushes against my eyelids. First world problems much....

Okay and I'm just throwing this out there since we're on the topic of Fall, but I'm abso-freakin-lutely obsessed with the Starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha. It is just beautiful.

So thats it, my Fall fashion and makeup (and drink!) essentials this Fall. Leave me a comment as to what your favourite Fall things are, or tweet me at @MissJulianaYu anytime!

Love,
Julsie xx

Update and Ballet Talk!

Hey there Tweedlers, Sally here!

Today I thought I'd just give you a little update of everything that's going on which isn't very exciting unfortunately. I'm currently sitting in my Hello Kitty onesie, (cute huh?) which is so comfy typing this up. The reason for this being, I'm in year twelve at school. For those of you who aren't in Australia, this means I'm in my final year of high school so I get a lot of homework. Basically, today I spent my day at home reading 'Interpreter of Maladies' for English, then writing an essay about it and answering some more questions about it. Wow! That's exactly how I like to spend my weekend! [/sarcasm] Anywho, I had mini breaks in between all of that played some Animal Crossing. I also made a interesting juice which tasted quite nice, it consisted of strawberries, kiwi and pears. Weird combo but it was good!

Yesterday, I did a bit of shopping and repurchased some things that I love so I decided to share them with you all;

I've got combination skin. My T-zone is oily, my cheeks and chin are normal and my eyes are dry. This moisturiser is so good as it's non-comedogenic which means it doesn't clog your pores so you won't get pimples from it! It was under $10AUS and comes in a nice pump bottle as well. I would definitely recommend you give it a try.
This is my favourite mascara of all time! The Lash-blast Volume mascara by Covergirl. The reason why I wear waterproof is because I do a lot of dancing so I don't want my make up to smudge and for me too look like I've been punched in the eye. The brush is a little big however and it's a bit stubborn to take off but other than that, the formula is perfect.
I know how random this picture looks, but I got this from T2 while it was on sale. It's a tea strainer, the strainer I had broke (it was a different kind) and the leaves kept falling out of it and into my tea but this one is so easy to use. Put this in your cup, put the leaves in it and pour hot water in. Leave it in there for a few minutes and take this whole thing out. So simple, I don't know why I bought types of strainers before getting this one.

Finally, Juliana asked me to give you a bit of a ballet talk. If you have issues talking about feet maybe don't keep reading... I wasn't too sure of doing it at first but here it goes anyway;

 1. Does pointe hurt?
Yes, but you get use to it hurting. Also the skin on your feet toughen like how a guitarist hands will toughen and you stop getting hundreds of blisters. You probably don't want to see a picture of what my feet look like though...

2. How long have you been on pointe?
I've been on pointe for 8 years, since I was eleven years old.

3. How long do your pointe shoes last?
For me about two weeks. Everyone is different, some of my class mates last a few days, others a few months even though we are all dancing the same amount of time. To make them last longer, I shellac them. Shellac is like a polish and hardens what ever you put it on so many dancers use it to extend the life of their shoe. Pointe shoes cannot be repaired if broken and you cannot share pointe shoes even if someone else is the same size and model as you after you have worn them because they will soften and mould to your foot.

The inside of a pointe shoe is made of paper and glue.

Me in some pointe shoes!
 4. What pointe shoes do you wear? (If you don't know ballet, you'll probably get bored reading this.)
I wear Bloch Alpha pointe shoes currently. I change them every now and then as your feet are constantly changing and also in the hope that I find a shoe I like better. I've worn Bloch Suprima, Serenade, Aspiration, Synergy and Axiom. I've also worn Grishko 2007 H which I love and Freeds Studio II. Unfortunately I stopped wearing Grishko because it was too difficult to buy because they had to be shipped from Russia which took forever leaving me occasionally with no shoes to wear.

Hopefully, you feel a little more knowledgeable after reading this. I hope I didn't weird you out too much! If you have any questions, feel free to tweet me!

Hope you're all well,
Sally xx
